If you’re wondering whether I’m a good fit…
My work is a good fit for clinicians, agencies, and organizations working with adults who carry complex trauma histories and have engaged in harmful or concerning behaviors. I specialize in supporting work at this intersection — where accountability, safety, and trauma informed care all need to be held at the same time.
I am not a formal risk assessor or forensic evaluator. My role is clinical and consultative, focused on treatment, skill development, and ethical clarity within established systems.
You may find my work especially helpful if you or your team are navigating questions about how to engage offense related material, when trauma focused treatment is appropriate, how to work with dissociation or complex presentations, or how to sustain yourselves ethically and emotionally in this work.
If you are seeking formal evaluations, risk assessments, or expert testimony, I can help clarify appropriate referral pathways, but those services are outside my scope of practice.
Meet Dani
I’m Dani Anderson, MS, LPCC, a licensed therapist in Minnesota working with adults navigating complex trauma, dissociation, and the challenges that arise where trauma and accountability intersect. I offer a space where people can show up as they are, make sense of what feels overwhelming, and take steps toward lives that feel safer, more connected, and more grounded in choice.
I’m a certified EMDR therapist, and I use EMDR therapy as a conceptual framework to guide understanding, regulation, and change — not simply as a set of techniques. I also hold an Advanced Certificate in Complex Trauma and Dissociation from the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD). In addition to clinical work, I provide consultation and training for clinicians and agencies navigating complex trauma, dissociation, and harm related concerns.
I approach this work with curiosity, compassion, and a clear commitment to accountability. Whether working with clients, colleagues, or organizations, my focus is on building practical skill, ethical clarity, and sustainable change — even when the work is complex, layered, or uncomfortable.
